Weber Shandwick has been named 2014 Global Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report. In awarding the firm this honor, The Holmes Report highlighted Weber Shandwick’s “consistent geographic excellence” in addition to the firm’s outperformance of the market. The firm’s innovative digital capabilities, including Mediaco, Weber Shandwick’s award-winning content publishing and distribution offering, were highlighted as well.
Honorees are selected by the publication’s editors and based on information gathered during the Agency Report Card and regional awards processes. Weber Shandwick was also named 2014 Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report in both North America and Asia Pacific.
“This award is a testament to Weber Shandwick’s collaborative culture and innovative work across our global network,” said Andy Polansky, Chief Executive Officer of Weber Shandwick. “We appreciate the strong support of our teams and client partners around the world.”
Weber Shandwick’s “commitment to creative excellence” across the globe was also noted, bolstered by the firm’s acquisition earlier this year of Prime, a leading, award-winning creative PR agency in Sweden. Additionally, the honor pointed to Weber Shandwick’s strong portfolio of business across the globe, as well as its “impressive” senior leadership team.
The Global Agency of the Year award is one of several industry honors Weber Shandwick has earned in 2014, including being the only PR firm named to the Advertising Age Agency A-List as well as winning Gold, Silver and Bronze PR Lions at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. Weber Shandwick also received The Holmes Report In2 SABRE Award for Most Innovative Agency – Digital/Integrated for Mediaco, Mumbrella’s APAC PR Network of the Year Award, PRWeek’s Greater China PR Consultancy of the Year Award, and was named to Superbrands’ list of top U.K. Business Superbrands. The firm also recently earned three 2014 CLIO Healthcare Awards for breakthrough healthcare campaigns executed in partnership with its clients.
