Weber Shandwick has appointed Rose Kelly to the role of head of technology and vice-president, Australia, effective immediately,

She will report to Ian Rumsby, chairman, Australia.

Since joining Weber Shandwick in 2009, Rose has been responsible for the account leadership of some of the firm’s most prestigious technology clients. Weber Shandwick’s technology practice was most recently led by Lisa Popplewell, current general manager of the firm’s Sydney office, who will now focus on driving new areas of growth for the firm, specifically in corporate affairs and innovation.

Rose has worked with some of the most progressive and prestigious brands in the consumer and enterprise technology sector. She has led community engagement programs for Telstra and Microsoft; driven a far-reaching brand communications initiative for travel and expense management company, Concur; and honed her experience in the security space by driving corporate reputation and brand awareness for both Symantec and VeriSign.
