Weber Shandwick has strengthened its Consumer practice in Singapore with the appointment of Monica Alsagoff as senior vice-president, effective immediately. She will be responsible for expanding the firm’s portfolio of clients in consumer lifestyle and sports marketing.

Based in Singapore, Alsagoff will be responsible for driving regional campaigns across Southeast Asia.

Alsagoff is returning to the agency where she began her career in 1991. After spending five years with Weber Shandwick, Alsagoff held a number of positions in hospitality, fashion and lifestyle corporations, including building up and heading two public relations firms, one of which she founded.

Alsagoff will report directly to Singapore co-managing directors Vanessa Ho Nikolovski and Margaret Cunico.

“Monica’s interest in returning to multi-market work with an international agency could not have been better timed,” said Cunico. “Many of our traditional B2B clients are seeking to launch consumer outreach programmes, and we are fortunate to have Monica with us to lead this charge. She brings with her an unrivalled expertise in consumer marketing, which will add to the breadth of capabilities within our Singapore office.”
