Weber Shandwick has been named PR Agency of the Year at the annual Agency of the Year awards in Hong Kong, hosted by key industry publication Marketing magazine.

For the second time in three years, the Hong Kong team clinched victory in a very competitive category. The successful team went up against finalists Burson-Marsteller, Edelman, Fleishman Hillard, Hill + Knowlton, Ketchum, Ogilvy PR and Waggener Edstrom to take the coveted top spot. Weber Shandwick is the only PR agency to have featured in the top three every year since 2010, with a First Runner-Up title last year.

Speaking of the win, Hong Kong managing director Albert Shu said: “Our focus has always been on building long-term client partnerships and engaging staff. It is very satisfying to be recognized for being able to bring this to life year after year.”

The Agency of the Year awards are judged only by client-side marketers and communicators, focusing on four criteria: business performance, people, products & services and contribution to the industry and community.
