Weber Shandwick today announced the launch of its new service offering, FN, in China. Dedicated to promoting China’s fast-growing domestic fashion and design industry, FN will help raise the international profile of the country’s next generation of cutting-edge designers and artists.

Specific services include developing personal brand positioning, identifying collaborative opportunities with international and domestic brands, and creating comprehensive promotional strategies to introduce these designers to the global stage.

“China’s domestic growth has led to an increasing number of young designers across the country who offer incredible potential, but lack the ability to share their vision globally,” said David Liu (pictured below), chairman of Weber Shandwick in China. “Our agency has the resources and experience necessary to support this talent, and we are thrilled to help introduce them to the international industry.”

Weber Shandwick is frequently recognised for its strong capabilities in fashion and lifestyle, as well as delivering innovative solutions to clients in China. The firm was voted the top PR agency in China for original creative thinking and strong strategic capabilities, according to the 2013 R3 China PR Scope industry survey, and has already established a successful track record of developing the profiles of some of China’s most Successful young designers: Wang Peiyi (Alex Wang), the first Chinese designer to show a complete womenswear collection at Milan Fashion Week; Zhou Xiangyu (Xander Zhou), the first Chinese menswear designer to showcase his work during the British Fashion Council’s London Collections: Men, young designer Haotian Wen; and Tianqi Du, a prodigy nicknamed “the Prince of Piano” in China.
