Weber Shandwick has been selected to lead marketing initiatives for Crayola in Japan. Crayola is preparing to launch the brand in the market for the first time. The appointment is effective immediately.

Weber Shandwick will provide a full range of integrated marketing solutions for Crayola, including social media and content creation, event planning and management and media relations.

”Weber Shandwick’s content-led digital framework, coupled with their extensive consumer activation expertise, will help us establish a strong foundation in Japan,” said Kelly Tung, Crayola vice president, group manager of Asia. “Crayola encourages exploring new ideas, thinking originally and playing imaginatively – a perspective that is reflected in Weber Shandwick’s approach to the opportunities we see in the market.”

“We are delighted to work with Crayola on this exciting new opportunity,” said Jon Wade, head of Digital, Asia Pacific at Weber Shandwick. “By tapping into our local market knowledge in Tokyo, backed by an in-house design and editorial team that understands the impact a content-first approach can make, we look forward to introducing Crayola to Japanese families, nationwide.”
