The Public Affairs Asia Gold Standard awards were held in Hong Kong on December 4th at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club. Weber Shandwick took home three awards, including Regional Network of the Year.

The China team won the award for Issues Management and Crisis Communications for their work with Master Kong, when online rumours threatened the brand. The team devised an effective solution by spinning the rumours back on the perpetrators with the campaign, “Who Framed Master Kong?”

In-Country Consultancy of the Year went to the Australia team for their successful year in the Public Affairs space, along with impressive results for the agency overall.

The Regional Network of the Year award is Weber Shandwick’s third regional acknowledgement this year, having been awarded both The Holmes Report APAC Consultancy of the Year and Mumbrella’s APAC PR Network of the Year earlier this year.

The awards evening followed on from Public Affairs Asia’s annual Corporate Affairs Forum which brought together industry leaders on the theme of “Reputation and its Risks.”
