China concluded its annual meetings of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Congress (CPPCC), known together as ‘Lianghui’, on March 13, 2014.

The meetings marked the first year of Li Keqiang’s tenure as Premier, and outlined the initial progress of the comprehensive reforms laid out during the Third Plenum of the 18th Party Congress in November 2013.

In the report ‘Advancing Reform, Assessing the 2014 NPC and CPPCC Sessions’ the Weber Shandwick China Public Affairs team delivers a comprehensive summary of the two most important annual events on China’s political calendar.
